Your livelihood is secured during illness

We can’t control everything, and sometimes we fall ill. Under the universities’ collective agreement, you have the right to pay, even if you are incapable of working. To receive sick pay, the only requirements are

  • you have not contributed to your own work incapacity
  • you have immediately informed your supervisor of your illness
  • you present a doctor’s note, if necessary.

If you have been employed for less than a month, you will only get 50% pay and only for 10 days. If you have been employed for longer, your right to full pay depends on your years of service.
